A farm has both a physical size (expressed in hectares and/or number of animals) and an economic size (calculated in EURO, which represents the capability of your farm to generate income). The needed dates are recorded in Unique Register of Identification (RUI), managed by the Payment Agency for Intervention in Agriculture (APIA)..
Along with the release of the new program NRDP 2014-2020, the economic size will be expressed in EUROS and will represent the Standard Output (SO) of farm. SO is the sum of all values resulted by multiplying the cultivated area for each crop (expressed in number of hectares) and/or the number of animal heads for each species and category with the SO values expressed in EUROS. The coefficients have been calculated as average for the period 2008-2012 and have been approved by EUROSTAT. Use the application below to find out the economic size of your farm!
